  Come Home to the Macoupin County Fair!

The Macoupin County Fair and Agricultural Association is currently making plans for the 162nd Edition of the Oldest County Fair in Illinois. The 2014 Fair is sure to be exciting with lots of entertainment and agricultural displays for the entire family. New to the 2014 fair will be a Meat Goat Show. More information with be coming soon.

The 2014 Macoupin County Fair will be held June 23-28, 2014. Volunteers are always welcome.


County Fair Seeks Contestants for Little Miss & Mister Pageant

April 11, 2014 - The Macoupin County Fair is looking for 5 and 6 year olds in the Macoupin County area for the 2014 Little Miss and Mister Pageant. This year’s pageant will take place on Wednesday, June 25th.

Children may not be younger than 5 or older than 6 by the pageant date in order to be eligible. Prior to the pageant children and parents or legal guardians will be required to attend practices to prepare the children for the stage.

The pageant is limited to 30 total contestants, with 15 spaces available for the girls and 15 spaces for the boys. Those spots are filled on a first come first serve basis. If your child has been a previous contestant you may enter again, however they will be placed on a waiting list as first time contestants will have the opportunity to fill the first 15 spots. Please send a letter with child’s name, birth date, gender, parents/guardians name, address and phone number where a parent/guardian can be reached. The first 15 girls and 15 boys will receive a letter or phone call confirming their entry into the pageant. The deadline for applications is: Friday, April 25, 2014.

The Macoupin Open and Junior Livestock Show will feature judging in the following categories: swine, horse, sheep, beef, and rabbit.   



Starting with the 2009 Macoupin County Fair entry fees will not be reimbursed.
