MACOUPIN COUNTY JUNIOR AUCTION RULES

1.               The Macoupin County Junior Auction is for Macoupin County Juniors only. Junior qualifications for Macoupin County Fair shall be the definition assigned for a junior exhibitor by the Illinois Department of Agriculture for County Fairs. 

2.               Macoupin Juniors can only sell (1) animal. Juniors must enter the animal in the Livestock Auction when turning in their entries to the fair office.

3.             Animals must not have been auctioned in another county junior fair. 

4.              Male Animals allowed to sell: Steers, Barrows, Sheep and Goat Wethers

5.               Female Animals allowed to sell:  Heifers, Gilts, Ewe Lamb, Doe Kid

6.              Sale order will be decided by the Superintendent

7.               All large animals must be weighed prior to the sale at the designated place and time

8.          IMPORTANT:  WHEN THE AUCTIONEER SAYS SOLD THE PURCHASER HAS THE RIGHT TO OBTAIN OWNERSHIP OF THE ANIMAL.  IF YOU ARE ENTERING A FEMALE ANIMAL INTO THE AUCTION THERE IS A CHANCE THAT IT COULD BE SOLD AND LEAVE THE FARM.  THE LIVESTOCK EXHIBITOR MUST BE AWARE OF THIS POSSIBILITY BEFORE ENTERING AN ANIMAL.
