JUNIOR LIVESTOCK AUCTION

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 4, 2025

Meal at 5:30, Auction at 6:00


 1.          Each exhibitor must comply with the Illinois County Fair Exhibition Health Requirements, and be a Junior as defined by the Illinois Department of Agriculture.

2.          Exhibitors shall present two (2) physical copies of health papers for all animals be exhibited at the time of check-in.

3.          The auction is open to Macoupin County Juniors, who have made entries and will show in the Macoupin County Fair.

4.          Exhibitors are allowed to sell one (1) animal and may not have participated in an been auction at any other county fair.

5.          Animals allowed to sell:

a.       Male Animals: Steers, Barrows, Sheep and Goat Wethers

b.       Female Animals: Heifers, Gilts, Ewe Lambs, and Doe Kids

6.       Sale order will be determined by the Auction Committee.

7.       All animals will be weighed during their respective Junior Departments weigh-ins as published in the Junior Premium Book.

8.       At the time the auctioneer calls the animal as sold, the purchaser has the right to obtain immediate ownership. If an exhibitor is entering a female animal they must

consider that the animal may transfer ownership on the night of the sale.

9.       Exhibitors are encouraged to use the letter on the second page of this document to take to potential buyers.
